CRADAs and VA

Collaborative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) allow a government-operated “lab” (where federal government employees conduct research, development, and engineering) and other entities (private company, academia, other government agencies, etc.) to leverage each others’ resources while conducting mutually beneficial research and development.

CRADAs are highly customizable contracts that can be executed quickly and can be easily renewed or modified!

They key to the CRADA is the Statement of Work (SoW) -

The SoW outlines the goals, background, and scope of the collaboration, while also defining the roles and responsibilities of each party.
